Finsbury Dry Gin

Description: Finsbury Dry Gin dates back to 1740 and is a traditional London Dry Gin, still manufactured and distilled in London after the 270-year-old recipe for copper boilers with more than 100 years of experience. The recipe itself is a secret, but is based on juniper berries, exotic fruits and herbs. This mix gives Finsbury Dry Gin a balanced and refined flavor whose quality has been rewarded with more international prices over time.

The word gin is derived from the French word for juniper - genièvre - but over the years it has been shortened to gin (as everyone can pronounce). Gin's history can be traced back to the 16th century when a Dutch doctor mixed juniper with alcohol for patients with kidney problems. This new medicine quickly became more popular as brandy. At the end of the 16th century gin was discovered by English soldiers who went to Holland to help the Spanish army. When they returned home, they took the gin to England, where it quickly became popular.
