Description: Porridge rice is great for porridges and desserts. Rice that boils out completely.
A typical Scandinavian and especially a danish classic for Christmas time! Rice Porridge with a little hint of sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top with spoonful of butter.
Rice porridge recipe:
1 liter of milk
1 dl. water
3 dl. porridge rice
1/2 teaspoon salt
cinnamon sugar and butter
Rinse rice in cold water and let them boil in a pot of 1 dl water. When the water is absorbed, milk is poured, it is heated to boiling point and then turned down for heat to low heat, so it just simmer a little.
Let the pot stand on low heat with lid on - and stir approx. every 10 minutes. Finally, get a little salt in.
Eaten with butter, a little sugar cinnamon and sprinkled on top - and also tastes nice apple compote as a side dish.
Tip: Put the rice in cold water in the morning. The water is poured off before the rice is cooked and rinsed under running water - it shortens the cooking time a little.
